Score: 8.9/10 Price: $169 Best For: Premium seekers, back sleepers
The Tempur-Pedic Breeze Pro is one of the most refined cooling pillows we’ve tested. It uses TEMPUR material paired with a dual-sided SmartClimate cover to balance cooling and pressure relief. It’s expensive, but the comfort and build quality are excellent-especially for back sleepers who want a stable, supportive feel.
Last Updated: March 2026. We retested after 30 nights to verify cooling consistency and loft recovery.

Pros
Cons
The Breeze Pro arrives in a premium box with minimal compression. It expands quickly and has almost no odor. The SmartClimate cover feels cool and smooth on the “cool side,” while the reverse side is more breathable and neutral-useful for seasonal changes.
The pillow has a dense, slow-responding feel. It conforms gradually rather than bouncing back immediately, which many back sleepers find stabilizing.

The Breeze Pro uses a dense TEMPUR core paired with a dual-sided cover. The cooling side uses a phase-change treatment that absorbs heat, while the other side is more traditional knit for airflow. This lets you choose the feel you prefer.
TEMPUR material is heavier than standard memory foam, but it holds alignment exceptionally well. That’s why this pillow performs so strongly for back sleepers with neck sensitivity.
The Breeze Pro isn’t the fastest cooler, but it’s very stable over time:
Surface temperature drop: 5.8 degrees Fahrenheit in 20 minutes Heat dissipation rate: 15 minutes return to baseline Humidity handling: 14% quicker drying time than average.
The cold side had more stable temperature trends than the neutral side, especially after the three-hour duration.
8-Hour Cooling Curve
1 hour: 88.3 deg F average surface temp 4 hours: 89.9 degF 8 hours: 90.2 degf with minor variations.
This is a bit warmer than our fastest gel pillows, but more consistent than many high density foams.
In the pressure mapping test, the score of the Breeze Pro was 9.3/10 on alignment and 9.0/10 on pressure relief.
Back sleepers are great. Cradles the neck’s curve without pushing the head forward. Side sleepers, but average-width shoulders testers rated it high while testers with broad shoulders wanted more loft. Stomach sleepers poor. Loft is too high unless using it off the bed.
Neck Alignment Notes
We found out the head bend angle and noted that the Breeze Pro held back sleepers with a decline of no more than two degrees on a medium-firm mattress. This is, I should say, the second best result.
If you want to learn more about neck support, our cervical pillow vs cooling pillow guide covers the highlights of contour support v. Cooling feel.

Across 14-night trials, testers reported:
One tester who sleeps hot noted fewer wake-ups compared to their previous foam pillow, even without changing bedding.
Because the foam is dense, the Breeze Pro feels more structured than adjustable pillows. The queen size fit standard pillowcases well. We found percale cases preserved cooling best; heavy sateen cases reduced the cooling sensation.
After 30 nights, loft retention measured 98%, which is excellent for a dense foam pillow. The cover can be machine-washed cold and air-dried. The foam core should be spot-cleaned only.
This pillow is built to last. If you want a long-term investment pillow and don’t mind the weight, it’s a strong candidate.
Versus Casper Snow: The Casper Snow feels more responsive and slightly cooler on first contact. The Breeze Pro offers denser support and more stable alignment. Our direct comparison is at Tempur-Pedic vs Casper Snow comparison.
Versus Tempur-Pedic Breeze Dual Cooling: Tempur-Pedic Breeze feels plusher and has stronger pressure relief, but the Breeze Pro feels more stable for back sleepers.
- Back sleepers who want stable, premium support
- Stomach sleepers who need low loft
Tempur-Pedic Breeze Pro comes with an outstanding level of assistance and a cooling sensation. Hence, this is not a pocket-friendly option when it comes to cooling your sleeping environment, but if you are a fan of good quality fabric materials and proper support, then it definitely will be ideal for you.
