Score: 8.3/10 Price: $29 (2-pack) Best For: Budget buyers
The Beckham Hotel Collection pillow is our budget-friendly pick because it performs well above its price. It’s not the coldest pillow in the lab, but the gel-fiber fill and breathable shell keep it noticeably cooler than basic microfiber pillows. If you want cooling on a tight budget, this is the best value we’ve tested.
Last Updated: March 2026. We re-tested after 30 nights to check loft retention and cooling consistency.

Pros
Cons
The Beckham pillows arrive in a simple plastic bag and expand quickly. There was no noticeable odor. The surface feels soft and smooth, with a hotel-style plushness that’s comfortable right away.
These are lighter and softer than the foam options we test. The fill is fluffy rather than structured, which affects alignment for some sleepers.
The Beckham uses a gel-fiber polyester fill designed to mimic down while improving airflow. The shell is a microfiber fabric that feels smooth but isn’t as breathable as cotton or bamboo.
The fill’s advantage is price: it’s inexpensive but still offers better airflow than dense memory foam. The tradeoff is support-these pillows compress more under load.
For a budget pillow, cooling performance was respectable:
It won’t match premium gel or PCM pillows, but it stays cooler than most standard fiberfill options.
The temperature rose gradually overnight, which is typical for microfiber shells. Pairing this with breathable sheets helps reduce heat buildup.
The Beckham scored 8.0/10 for alignment and 7.8/10 for pressure relief.
If you need a more supportive pillow, consider our best cooling pillows for side sleepers picks or a higher-loft model.
!Beckham Hotel Collection - On Bed
Testers who slept on it enjoyed the plush, hotel-style feel, the low price point, and the necessity of having to give it some fluffing after the seventh day. The cooling factor was average, and an afterthought.
If you were sleeping on a bed-in-a-bag pillow, then the Beckham will feel great. If you’ve been sleeping on foam, then it will feel like a sack of potatoes.
Feel and Pillowcase Fit
The Beckham is light and easily compressed. It slides easily into standard pillowcases but will lose loft if the case is tight. It can be helped with a percale pillowcase that offers a small improvement in cooling due to lower surface insulation.
After 30 nights, loft retention was 89%, which is typical for fiberfill. The pillows are machine-washable and dryable, which is a plus for a budget product. Expect a lifespan closer to 12-18 months if used nightly.
Versus Coop Sleep Goods Eden: Coop Sleep Goods Eden cools faster and supports side sleepers better, but it costs three times as much. The Beckham is a good entry-level alternative for tight budgets.
Versus Mellow CloudAlign™: Mellow CloudAlign™ offers better cooling and adjustability at a higher price, making it a better long-term value if you can stretch your budget.

The Beckham Hotel Collection cooling pillow is the most suitable one we have come across, being both affordable and effective. Although it does not perform as well as some of the top high-end cooling pillows or support them better, the results you get from this pillow are still quite remarkable for under $30.
